Kraków Technology Park (KTP ) established the Digital Entertainment Cluster, built up of Polish companies prominent in the creative industry, whose number includes GryOnLine, Artifex Mundi, Future Reality Games, Nimbi Studios, Tap It Games, and Dardanele Studio.
Since 2012, the KTP has also organised the Digital Dragons. Every year, the Digital Dragons gather prime game developers and publishers from Poland and Europe. In collaboration with specialist media, gamedev environment, and the academia, the Kraków Technology Park developed an exceptional event of special merit. The collaboration resulted in the forging of the Programme Council, who define the direction and scope of the Festival for the year to come.
Establishing the Digital Dragons, the Kraków Technology Park emphasises the great significance of the creative industry – a sector in which global success of Poles is as recognised as considerable – for economic development. The Digital Dragons is also designed to honour those who are the power and driving force of the sector. The Digital Dragons statuettes are entrusted to the videogame developers, publishers, and producers, whose products enjoyed greatest popularity in the previous year.
